Shoebox Art is focused on small-space budget-friendly local art sales in Vancouver and surrounding areas. We sell a variety of prints, weavings, mixed media, and original paintings, along with gift items such as greeting cards, pins and magnets.
We build positive and artist-forward relationships with artists and makers from all across BC, with the goal of showcasing affordable local art to folks who are eager to support their art communities in an economical and fun way.
Shoebox Art was built locally, sourcing building supplies and materials from small businesses wherever possible. Our day-to-day operations are run on solar power in an effort to reduce our environmental impact.

Shoebox Art was born from Sara Quine’s desire to creatively support emerging artists and makers in her surrounding communities through greater exposure. Combine this with a love of travel, and a mobile art retail space became the ideal hybrid concept! Shoebox Art can be found across BC, showcasing talented artists and makers who deserve to succeed and thrive through their art.
Sara (she/they) has always been motivated by creativity and changing environments. Raised around the world by a family that traveled for work, she gained a fast and deep appreciation for variety - in places, people, art and ideas.
Sara has spent the last 10 years working in the set decoration department of Vancouver’s film and television industry, always looking for ways to include and engage with local small businesses and artists.
